Checkpoint

Work tracked from intake to handover — one job, one QR code, scanned in and out at every step, with the slow step visible while it is still slow.

The situation

Work arrives in batches. Two hundred signs to print, cut, assemble and install at different addresses. Every piece passes through several departments, and every time someone asks where a piece has got to, the answer is a phone call to whoever is holding it.

The bottleneck usually reveals itself when a customer chases, because nobody records how long each stage takes. What exists instead is a feeling that production has been slow lately.

And the work arrives as a spreadsheet the customer sent, not in a shape any system is waiting for — so somebody keys it in row by row before anything can start.

How it works

Each organisation defines the steps for each kind of job: how many stages, who owns each one, and how long each is supposed to take. Jobs then travel that route.

One job gets one QR code. The person holding it scans on receipt and on handover. Staff who are signed in scan straight away; an outside installer opens that job's own link and enters a passcode, with no account to create. Every scan is stored as an event, so the SLA is computed from what happened rather than from what someone typed in afterwards.

Work that arrives as a spreadsheet or CSV is uploaded as it is. The file is read and turned into a reviewable list of jobs with quantities before anything is committed, instead of being retyped. Every organisation on the platform has its own routes and its own brand colour.

What changes

  • Where any single job stands is answerable without a phone call
  • Stage times come from real scans, so the bottleneck shows before the chase does
  • Subcontractors report progress without being given accounts
  • Hundreds of jobs are created from the customer's own file in one pass

Who it is for

  • Make-to-order and installation businesses where one item crosses several departments
  • Service work with defined stages and times agreed with a customer
  • Organisations whose subcontractors are on site and need to report back
  • Teams who want real per-stage timings before redesigning a process

What it connects to

  • QR scanning from a phone camera, no app to install
  • Job upload from Excel, CSV and plain text, converted into a job list for review
  • Two-factor sign-in with an authenticator app
  • Thai and English, with per-organisation brand colour
